Born in Yeongdong Hospital in the midst of Seoul, he had never exactly been the luckiest of people from his first moments upon Earth. His mother - a prostitute in the services of Mr. Jeon himself - had given birth to a baby boy, who was perfect resemblance of his father. Mr. Jeon hadn't showed up for the birth, nor had he cared for the fact another child of his had been born. That was just the way things had tendency to work within the mafia, and the mafia boss quite frankly couldn't care less for this child just as much as the rest.
Jeongguk was named partially after the famous surname that his father bore, and partially after his great grandfather who had died courageously within one of the biggest gang raids the mafia had ever held.
His first year of life on Earth was a messy one - neither his father nor' his mother actually wanted him, almost causing him to be sent into an orphanage - except his mother was too stubborn to let him go, too soft in the heart to just abandon him. She raised him the best that she could, providing in the most horrid ways possible. But they managed to get by somehow.
After his first birthday had passed, it was decided that having already been raised within the mafia industry, he should continue to be raised within it, unlike his siblings before him - who had either been dumped in an orphanage or given away to live a better, non crime-filled life. But the life within a gang was all that Jeongguk had known, he knew who his father was and who his mother was. And so things would carry on the way they were, his mother fighting to keep them both alive and healthy with no input from his father what-so-ever. He never got to experience proper infanthood like most, instead of playing with childrens toys he was left to play with whatever he could find - and that ranged from stray nails on the floor, to dead mice - which wasn't the healthiest of things to be playing with, but it was all he had to work with.
It wasn't a particularly bright first few years of introduction into the world - his mother was scrapping for money and struggling to hold on, and with only occasional visits from his father which were brief and very non-intimate, Jeongguk had learnt only very few things. He hadn't been taught how to even start writing, or how to talk, and so he was mute without any way of communicating with his family for those very harsh and lonely years.

Upon reaching his 4th birthday, his father had taken interest in him at least somewhat. He had organised a tutor to help him with his speech and writing, but it wasn't for Jeongguk's own gain. His father had plans for his future seeing as Jeongguk was going to be around for much longer than expected, and he couldn't just let Jeongguk do as he pleased. Although he wasn't going to help his mother to provide for them, he did get Jeongguk started on education. However, his lack of experience with people other than his parents and fathers men, Guk was very difficult to teach. He didn't like people and his years without contact from people of his own age had grown him into an introvert, who didn't like anyone other than his mother. It took him at least six months to settle properly, six months before he started speaking just basic Korean.
Jeongguk was a quick learner and he did enjoy being educated, it gave him something to do rather than be cooped up in his damp and worn-down home everyday looking for things to amuse him. The few hours he spent learning took his mind off of current events, made him forget that he probably wasn't going to be fed later that night and that he was most likely going to be by himself again, listening to his neighbours arguing and gunshots in the distance.
When he was five, his mother caught the AIDs virus, causing her to become extremely ill. With no money to pay for proper treatment, she was dying and there was nothing anybody could do about it. Jeongguk had taught himself how to cook with whatever they had in the house and looked after her for her last few months of life, until she finally passed away in her sleep in the late September of that year. Jeongguk had woken to find her lifeless body, and in all the panic hadn't known what to do. So he covered her until his tutor came, and only then would he burst into distressed tears to tell him what had happened. He watched his mothers body be taken away to be buried, and had tried to hug his father for comfort in which he needed, but was roughly shoved away in harsh rejection.
He was taken from the torn-down environment that he had grown up in all of his life and brought to his fathers mansion where he would spend the rest of his life instead. He had been cleaned up by the maids and given his very own room. The clean and expensive environment was a whole new thing for Jeongguk, but nothing, not the gold plates all around his room or the stainless marble tiled flooring could bring back his mother.
During his time of grieving, his education faltered and he avoided his father at all costs, knowing now that seeking for comfort was basically asking to be yelled at for a few hours. He had said it was to 'tough him up a bit', that he couldn't 'spend his life relying on others'.
Six years passed by in a breeze, six years of doing the same thing over and over again. His father had started to train him into the hitman business at just 10 years old, and so training had been added into his schedule. He met a few boys of his own age - including Solomon, who also had a father involved in the industry. The two had gotten along great, working together as a team and they seemed like the only ones who weren't confused. The others didn't seem to know their parents or where they came from, they just remembered waking up in a bunker one morning
Jeongguk didn't believe a word of it of course.
He was extremely talented at what he did, skillful with the guns especially. But no matter how well he did, he could never seem to impress his father.

Despite everything, Jeongguk was admittedly enjoying his training. He liked being able to toy around with the dangerous gadgets that he saw his father have all of the time, to finally be the one behind the gun. It was exhilarating, if anything, almost freeing. Training took up most of his time, but he still dedicated free time to studying and educating himself. By this time, he was fluent in Korean and Chinese, and had chosen to take up studying English whenever he could. He spoke extremely well and had an extensive vocabulary, which was 'impressive for somebody who didn't speak until he was four'. Or at least that was what his tutor had told him. He didn't see much of his father, just of his apprentice who had been ordered to take care of him instead. It was a shame, but at this point, Jeongguk knew being in his way was not a good thing - especially if he didn't want to receive terrible put-downs.
Most of what he felt was vented out to Solomon, who listened and understood despite not being able to relate, for he and his father had a pretty good relationship.
By the time he was 14, Jeongguk had made his first kill. It wasn't anything spectacular, he had been at a torture event when he was asked by his mentor to pull the trigger. Jeongguk had looked the man straight in the eye and pressed down on it, firing the final gunshot. However, that was when he felt the proper thrill of being able to have somebodies last moments in his hands, inflicting pain upon them.
The event caused him to conjure up sick thoughts, which most of the time he wrote about in his journal or drew illustrations of, most about his father based off of the bitter hatred he had towards him. He volunteered to involve himself more in such events, and after much pleading, his mentor finally agreed to take him along to executions and torturings. Jeongguk had watched each with great intensity, right until the very end - and if he were lucky, he was able to be the one behind the trigger.
When he turned 16, all control was put into his hands. His father had made the decision to make him the Heir, finally. This meant he dropped the hitman business and went straight into control of all areas. He had been taught how to torture, and through that, gained his own sick methods. They were odd, but certainly twisted. Killing people became something that he enjoyed, something that he looked forward to. The more gruesome the death the funner the event. His intelligence was used to an advantage as a young heir, most of his followers were older than him, most of the people he worked alongside were older than him, but due to his sick nature, they were all absolutely terrified of him. Jeongguk was merciless and unforgiving towards those he tortured. It was during this time he met Oliver and Taehyung - two new apprentices taken under his wing. He wasn't used to training people, but he had promised to do his best.
But all three of them grew closer than they once thought they'd be, on unspeakable levels.
On the side, he taught them all he knew, but couldn't help being possessive over them. They were his as far as he was concerned, both his favourites. That was until a large raid broke out, and Taehyung was fatally injured. He had been shot in the shoulder by the enemy, and although Oliver had tried to save him, Jeongguk did what he believed was right - by slitting his throat.
Too much of a burden, he had said.
From then on it was just he and Oliver. They'd officially started dating weeks after Taehyung's death, and Oliver was truly somebody that Jeongguk treasured deeply. He had sworn to protect him with everything that he had if Oliver could do the same. The deal was made, and together they were the most dangerous couple in the industry. Jeongguk had given Oliver all he had, his heart, his emotions, his body - he completely opened himself up to him on all levels. His father did not approve of their relationship in the slightest, to the point where he had gone against his son completely to separate them. Mr. Jeon had told Ollie that Jeongguk had been planning to kill him.
Oliver was a pure hearted soul, sweet and soft on the inside, and the news had come as both shock and panic to him. He didn't dare ask Jeongguk for the truth, instead he headed straight to the enemy to expose him. He told them all about Jeongguk in attempts to have the man arrested, maybe even killed.
All whilst this was happening, Mr. Jeon told Jeongguk of the news.
Of course, this angered Jeongguk. The one person he had truly given himself completely to had betrayed him in the most awful of ways, and he would pay greatly for his actions.
And so, that very night when both were at home, Jeongguk had stuck a bullet right between Oliver's eyes mercilessly.
"You betrayed me. You betrayed everything that we ever had, and for that, you will suffer."
Losing Oliver had only fucked up Jeongguk's morality further. He craved hurting people, he craved making them feel pain and pay for the sins they had committed. As well as hurting himself with drugs and alcohol, His one safe haven was gone, and now he was more violent than he had ever been. He never did find out that his father had been the perpetrator behind all that had happened, but that didn't mean that Jeongguk didn't have burning hate towards him.
He had burning hate towards everyone who had ever wronged him, and so, came the kill list.
The first to go was the Crowe twins, who had tried to poison his alcohol at one point, but had gotten caught after Jeongguk recognised the unappealing taste. Despite aiming to kill them both, he only managed to get Silas, and he removed his tongue, before he drove a screwdriver straight through his brain.
The second to go was Falan Donalvich, who had spread rumours about after she had slept with Jeongguk and Jeongguk had not wanted to carry anything on with her. And so, he removed her teeth one by one with the end of a hammer, before mutilating her completely.
He has yet to locate more of his enemies.
During this time - now aged 19 - he had been given a new apprentice - Jeremiah Lanchester. Jeongguk had grown quite fond of Jem and his quiet, obedient nature. He was extremely protective of him, and although he was no Oliver, he found himself holding a strange kind of liking towards him. He would always be addressed by nicknames, called 'his' and nobody else's. Jeongguk had sworn protection over this one, and he was sure that Jeremiah would know not to betray him.
It had been a quiet afternoon when the phone in his office began ringing at him, and when Jeongguk picked it up, it had been none other than Bang Yongguk. He was the son of an heir within a rivalled gang, the son of Mr. Bang, who Jeongguk had always taken quite a liking to. Yongguk requested to see him, so of course, Jeongguk accepted the request.
When the man arrived, he spoke of an alliance. At first, Jeongguk had turned him down, claiming that his father would never agree to it and that it would be a waste of his time. But it wasn't an alliance of gangs, it was an alliance between them.
Over the years, Mr. Bang had been collecting spies, hitmen, assassins all aligned with him to go against Mr. Jeon, who had done nothing but shit on everything that Mr. Bang had offered to him, had taken everything away from them just as he had from Jeongguk for his own selfish needs.
Yongguk had planned to ask Jeongguk to ally with them and help take out his father.
Jeongguk, having bitter hatred towards his dad only agreed straight away, on one condition - if he got to be the one to administrate his death. The deal was made, and Yongguk and Jeongguk went off to have their own 'pre-celebration' of their own.
The execution happened within the following week.
Yongguk had arrived at Jeongguk's office early-evening and the two had made their way to his fathers building. The plan was carefully thought through, they were going to walk in and explain that they had blueprints that needed viewing down in the basement. It'd be called as an unscheduled meeting. Foolishly, Mr. Jeon had followed them both, only to enter an empty basement and be knocked unconscious by a baseball bat. Yongguk and Jeongguk tied him to the pole, before Yongguk had stepped back to join his father to watch the death which would change everything.
A hammer to the mouth, a bucket of acid over the body, a stab to the chest and bullet through the brain later and it was all over.
Mr. Jeon had died a painful death, and Jeongguk had ordered for his body to be disposed of in the most disgusting way - in the acid barrels.
Jeongguk became the head of the Mafia with the congratulations and alliance of Mr. Bang and his son, of who Jeongguk stayed extremely close to throughout the rest of the evening. Yongguk was somebody he could confide in, and Jeongguk sworn protection over him and his father for the help they had provided.
